For nearly six decades, the Moose Jaw Humane Society has been a safe haven for animals in need, four of those decades right here in the current shelter. Every day, our team works tirelessly to provide shelter, medical care, compassion, and second chances to homeless pets in our community. While our mission has never changed, our needs have — and the time has come to build a new shelter that allows us to better serve the animals and people who depend on us.
Our new building will provide safer, more functional spaces for animals, improved medical and isolation areas, and a welcoming environment for adopters, volunteers, and supporters. This new shelter isn’t just a building — it’s an investment in animal welfare, community trust, and the future of humane care in Moose Jaw.
You can help make this vision a reality. Donations can be made directly through our website by clicking the DONATE tab (please indicate that your gift is to be allocated to our new shelter building), or by clicking the BUILD THE SHELTER tab here. These donations go directly to our dedicated fund with the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation, created exclusively to support our new building project.
Every gift, large or small, brings us one step closer to opening the doors to a brighter future for the animals who need us most.
