Lost & Found Services

The Moose Jaw Humane Society does not charge an Admission Fee for Stray Animals. However, an appointment is required to admit an animal.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE LOST YOUR PET


The Moose Jaw Humane Society will place a posting on our Facebook page for all stray animals brought to the facility. If your pet is missing please contact the shelter by email or Facebook messag with a photo of your missing pet, or call the shelter directly.

  • Visit the Moose Jaw Humane Society, during business hours, to check if your pet has been brought to the facility.
    ​
  • Contact all SPCAs, Humane Societies, Community Offices in your immediate area to file a lost pet report

  • Contact your local veterinarian clinics

  • Search your neighborhood, post fliers, and place a posting on the local area Pet Lost and Found Facebook and other social media pages

  • If your pet has a microchip, contact the microchip company and report that your pet is missing

  • If you believe your pet has been stolen, file a report with your local police department

​WHAT TO DO IF YOU FOUND A PET


  • Contact the Moose Jaw Humane Society with a description of the pet and photo if possible. Bring it to the shelter where we will care for it and attempt to find the owner.

  • Check your neighborhood to see if anyone recognizes the pet

  • Place a listing on local Lost and Found Pets of Moose Jaw Facebook page.

Did you know

A stray cat is 10 times more likely to be reunited with its owner if left outside than if it is brought to a Humane Society.
